How do I print if I get an "Envision" error when I swipe my One Card?

This entry is for if you swipe your Golden Eagle One Card/Student ID card on the printers and receive the following error:

An internal server error occurred. Could not find server 'ENVISION' in sys.servers. Verify that the correct server name was specified. If necessary, execute the stored procedure sp_addlinkedserver to add the server to sys.srvers.

This error typically happens the day your One Card is printed and can only be fixed by the Golden Eagle One Card office. You can resolve this error by

  • Calling the Golden Eagle One Card office (323-343-6800) and giving them your Name, CIN, and student username. State that you are experiencing the ENVISION error.
  • By visiting the office in person (Student Services Building Room 2232, Mon-Fri 8am-5pm).

If you are still experiencing the error after 24 hours of your card being issued, follow-up with the One Card office.
