How do I print if I get an "Envision" error when I swipe my One Card?

Answer

This entry is for if you swipe your Golden Eagle One Card/Student ID card on the printers and receive the following error:

An internal server error occurred. Could not find server 'ENVISION' in sys.servers. Verify that the correct server name was specified. If necessary, execute the stored procedure sp_addlinkedserver to add the server to sys.srvers.

This is an error related to your physical One Card and must be fixed by the Golden Eagle One Card office. You can resolve this error by

  • Calling the Golden Eagle One Card office (323-343-6800) and giving them your Name, CIN, and student username
  • By visiting the office in person (Student Services Building Room 2232, Mon-Fri 8am-5pm)
  • By filling out a Service Request (follow the instructions below, they work best on a PC or laptop. Will take 24-48 hours to resolve.)
