How-To Connect to LG 27" Monitors Using USB-C

For Windows 10/11 Laptops

  • Press and hold down the [Windows] key and press the [P] key once.
    • You will see the Project Display/Screens menu.
  • Use your mouse/trackpad to select Duplicate or Extend, depending on your needs.

For Mac OS laptops

  • Choose Apple Menu > System Settings > Displays
    • You should see the Built-in Display and LG 27" monitor Mirrored.
    • Select Stop Mirroring to Extend Display.

 

 
 

To Switch Between HDMI and USB-C connections on the LG 27" Monitor

When using the monitors on the 3rd floor with both HDMI and USB-C connectors, you may have to toggle the input on the monitor between each cable.

  • Use the LG joystick button (located under/behind the LG logo on the monitor).
  • Press the Joystick Button UP to see the Main menu. MOVE the button to the LEFT to activate the [ Input ] menu.
  • Select USB-C or HDMI1.

Note: Only connect one cable to your laptop (USB-C or HDMI).

  1. I used the monitor and it is great! However, this does not connect your laptop to the printers (as I hoped it would).
