How do I request a book chapter in Interlibrary Loan?

We strongly encourage users to begin requesting books and book chapters with CSU+. Generally, the turn-around time for receiving the item will be shorter with CSU+. Directions on requesting items with CSU+ are available here.
You can use Interlibrary Loan (ILL) to request a scan of a book chapter unavailable at Cal State LA. Please note that you can request only two chapters from one book.
- If you are a first-time user of ILL, you'll start by creating an account here.
- Next, you'll login to your ILL account
- Look on the left-hand side of the page for the header New Request, and then look below it for the Book Chapter option and select it.
- Complete the form with the required information (e.g., Chapter Title and Book Title). If you are unsure where to find that information, email or chat with a librarian for help.
- Submit your request. Chapters are typically emailed back to you within 5 to 10 days.
