Appointments are recommended but not required.

You can make an appointment with a librarian by contacting them.

You can make an appointment with a Student Research Consultant through your MyCalStateLA. Follow the steps below to make your appointment.

1. Log into MyCalStateLA

2. Click on Navigate LA Appointment Scheduling under Academics

3. Click on Get Assistance

4. Choose the type of appointment = learning assistance

5. Choose service = basic research help OR citation help

6. Pick a date/time that fits your schedule, or click on Find an Available Time to browse days and times

7. Once you select a day and time, add details in the comments section of the form about what you would like to discuss during your appointment (i.e., course number, research topic, assignment or citation style, etc.)

8. Click on schedule

If you need immediate help, you can chat with a librarian from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Fridays. These hours will change during holidays and campus closures.
