How do I use a call number to find a book?

Answer

First, locate the book you want using OneSearch to identify the call number and what floor the book is located on (see example below).

To find specifically where a book may be on a floor, you can refer to the Library Floor Maps and look for where the first letter(s) of the call number are located. See the library's guide on reading call numbers. You can also visit the service desk on the 1st floor of Library North to get help finding a book.
